"It's easy to play any musical instrument. All you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself." – Johann Sebastian Bach

Our Studio

piano310 is an all-ages music school located in the heart of Los Angeles' scenic South Bay. Whatever your age or musical aptitude, piano310 is a nurturing, creative atmosphere that will help bring your skills (or your child's) to the next level. piano310 offers one-on-one classes where students can learn to play classical, jazz, pop, rock, or just about any other genre with our talented and experienced teachers. In addition to piano instruction, we also offer guitar lessons, vocal coaching, and lessons in music theory and improvisation for all instruments. Mr. Olson teaches music in English. Since verbal skills and music terminology are part of the lessons for music students, this can be an additional item of possible interest and benefit to many, including international students. Public speaking skills are developed as a part of a recital performance. We may be adding a Japanese speaking piano teacher, so please send an email requesting information.

piano310 is the brainchild of founder Rick Olson, who has taught music for over two decades. As a musician and arranger, Rick has worked with an impressive roster of artists, including Herbie Hancock, Maxwell and Fourplay. At piano310, Rick and his staff share their expertise with budding and seasoned musicians alike in a setting where students can grow musically and enjoy themselves in the process. "Through music study we can develop our motor skills, math ability, problem solving, sensitivity, imagination, and the confidence that comes from continued practice," Rick says. "It can be fun, too."
